Short version: the site has no accounts, sets no cookies, and at the moment runs no analytics and no advertising.

What is stored, and where

The game keeps three small records in your browser's local storage so that it can pick up where you stopped:

• mahjongbay.game.v1: the board in progress (layout, tile order, the pairs you have removed, elapsed time).
• mahjongbay.prefs.v1: your chosen layout and the two switches under the board.
• mahjongbay.stats.v1: how many boards you have cleared and your best time for each layout.

These records stay on your device. They are never sent to the server, and clearing site data in your browser removes them.

Server logs

Like any web server, the one behind this site writes access logs: IP address, time, the page requested and the browser's user-agent string. They are used to keep the site running and to block abuse, and they are not combined with anything else.

If this changes

Should visitor statistics or advertising be added later, this page will say which service is used and what it collects before the change goes live. Last updated: September 2026.
